Instagram chatbots, auto-replies and keywords: what is the difference?

Choose the simplest workflow that solves your task without mistaking a prepared reply for a full conversation bot.

An auto-reply has a defined job

An event triggers a prepared message. It does not have to understand free text or remember a conversation. This makes a simple reply easy to review, but unexpected questions still need a person.

A keyword is a condition

PRICE or CATALOGUE connects a request with a specific message. It is not intelligence by itself. In iStori, make sure the invitation under your post matches your saved keywords.

A chatbot may have several branches

More complex flows can ask questions and route people to different actions. Check the actions you actually need rather than choosing by the word “bot”. A demonstration button does not prove that every integration is available.

Check the public reply and DM separately

“Sent in Direct” and the private message are separate results. Test both. Restrict your first flow to one publication and a clear keyword so unrelated comments do not receive an inappropriate reply.
